Dopod & Asustek soon to hit Taiwan market with GPS PDA phones

With an aim to compete with domestic competitors, comprising Mitac International and E-Ten Information Systems, Dopod International & Asustek Computer are all set to hit the Taiwan market of GPS with their respective deliverance of 1st GPS-enabled PDA phones in November this year.

Under the banner of Dopod P800W, a version of High Tech Computer’s (HTC’s) hTc P3300 (codename Artemis), Dopod is going to promote its GPS PDA phone. The P800W makes use of HTC’s ROIIR technology, which is combined with the utilization of track wheels and a trackball to bring about map browsing and web surfing parallel to making use of a PC mouse.
